GRADIS Biro za projektiranje Maribor, d.o.o. (translated: GRADIS Design Bureau Maribor Ltd.) is one of the biggest and most important structural design companies in Slovenia, employing 40 structural engineers and architects being the owners of the company as well.

Our company was established in early seventies. From then on, we have been designing different structures (in total 3,800) in the former Yugoslavia as well as in other countries. In addition, we were also present in the Federal Republic of Germany co-operating with local companies in the construction of several important structures. It should be also mentioned that we could re-establish our business relations with the customers in the former Yugoslav republics. In the eighties, we were continuing with our activities quite successfully, acquiring simultaneously our knowledge as well. After disintegration of the former Yugoslavia (in 1991) we were forced to search intensively for the new markets in Slovenia and abroad. We didn't mind hard work and our endeavours were crowned with success.

In the course of the years of our successful work we have been gaining experience as well as introducing new solutions and modern design conceptions. We have been endeavouring continuously to obtain the highest level of our designs being in accordance with relevant codes, guidelines and the up-to-date technical know-how. For this purpose, we are using the most recent information technology and software enabling a high productivity level and ensuring the quality of our service. Thus, we are able to master all challenges in the field of the structural and architectural design: bridges, viaducts, underpasses, overpasses, galleries and retaining walls, business and residential buildings, waste water treatment plants, hydropower plants and industrial structures. We are participating in competitions in architectural and structural desing. Within the scope of our business activities, there is also inspection and assessment of the condition of different structures, furthermore stability analyses of bridges in case of special transports, as well as research projects, consulting, structural and architectural solutions, etc.

In order to maintain and even improve the quality of our services, we are co-operating with both Slovenian universities; regularly, we are taking part in the Slovenian and international conferences, symposia and congresses. We can also take advantage of our experience and knowledge to elaborate technical specifications for the structures on the roads, such as bridges, viaducts, overpasses, underpasses and retaining walls.
