FAQ

Here is a list of things that usually make me happy. The list is sorted alphabetically and is by no means static. If you feel it's a bit long for such a list, please check the list of things I particularly dislike to see why.

Accurate clocks because they make me arrive on time and enable me to be cross at people who don't.
Alpine music because it can make me do things I wouldn't even consider doing otherwise.
Aluminium because it's great to make things lighter than they would be when made of steel.
Apples because they can be used as solid drinks.
Ball bearings because they are everywhere around me and it really wouldn't be wise if I didn't get used to them.
Beer because it can be used as liquid food.
Bicycles because they get me in time wherever I need to go.
British things because Great Britain seems to be the only country in the world where they still know how to make things the old way.
Cats because they are friendlier than dogs.
Chewing gums because they are supposed to clean me teeth, Reg.
Classic computers (especially those made by Sinclair Research) because they run games that I can't be fed up with.
Cold light because it's light but doesn't burn me when I touch it.
Cycling because it wakes me up every morning.
Diesel engines because they make cars friendlier.
Drawing because one drawing is worth thousands of words.
Eating raw carrots because of their vision-enhancing ingredients.
Elevators because they make me look cool when I use the stairs and arrive to the 6th floor before the elevator.
Fat tyres because they look serious and don't puncture.
Finland because it's a country we should model after.
Finnish language because it's spoken in Finland and sounds so nice when somebody sings a song in it.
Flashlights because they are bottled light.
Fridays because of what comes after them.
German language because most useful books are written in it.
Getting e-mails because I like when people know I exist.
Girls with Gaelic names because of Fionna.
Green colour because it's supposed to help relieve strain to my eyes.
Jokes I haven't heard before because then there's a chance I can sell them forth as my own.
Long meals because they can be an excellent excuse to eat a lot.
Mushrooms because they are on a good way from plants to animals.
My hometown because it's a capital and  I can still get to any point in it in less than one hour.
New things because they make me value old things higher.
Newspapers because they have seven lives before they get recycled.
Old books because reading them can make me wonder what things were already known to people back in those old days.
Old houses because I can lay books on window shelves in them.
Old machines that still work because they make most of today's high tech look helpless.
Pencils because their trace can be erased.
Plants because they don't try to make me play with them when I don't want to.
Radio because it can be behind my back and still do its job.
Rubber foam because it solves 98 of 100 problems when it comes to packaging.
Sleeping because when I sleep I usually don't make mistakes.
Small boxes because they can be stored in larger boxes.
Tomb Raider games because of what Ms. Croft can do when quaternion kinematics is applied to her.
Toothpaste because without it I wouldn't have much teeth left.
User's manuals because most of them are fine examples of how not to write them.
Washing machines because once dead, their parts can be used for so many purposes.
Water because it's still the safest and the healthiest drink.
Wind from behind because it makes cycling a pleasure.
Wood because it's useful for anything that doesn't have to be made of metal.
Writing bad programs because it's fun and the products can always be used to teach how not to program.
Yodelling because it makes most other things make the impression of making sense.
