Welcome |
Here are some pieces
of my home-made software that have been conceived under brand names
VLAK&co. and Miha Inside
and have accumulated in dark, cold places of my hard disks (not to
mention
the floppy disks and tapes) over time. Most of them are products of
"Blimey! Even I can do better than that!" or "Let's see if this can be
automated!" situations. The majority of them (every single one, that
is) are written in various dialects of BASIC, because it's the
programming language that makes writing bad programmes the most fun.
Since I have to use them frequently I tried to make them suit my needs
(after all, blaming Mr. Gates for lack of features or Mr. Poettering
for excess thereoff wouldn't make much sense here, would it?). (Win XP and above) A utility for automatic or manual editing of copied clipboard text before it is pasted. Useful whenever you wish to convert those long titles of downloaded articles into valid file names. (Win XP and above) A utility for bulk file renaming. Also does automatic file name sanitization and semi-smart conversion to CamelBackCase. (Win XP and above) A utility for on-screen measuring. Useful whenever you wish to know the exact pixel size of something on your screen. (Win XP and above) A utility for calculating event duration. Useful for those rental and travel expense forms. (Win XP and above, MS Word 97 and above) Did you notice that newer mail and news readers don't do ROT 13 any longer? Jryy, hagvy gurl qrpvqr gb oevat gur srngher onpx, lbh pna uryc lbhefrys jvgu guvf. (Linux) The same thing as above but for Linux. (Made with Gambas and therefore requires its runtime components.) (Spectrum 128K) The 128K conversion of the all-time-favourite Thro' the Wall classic game. Tons of new features, unbelievable graphics and sound effects. TAP file, ready to play on real or emulated ZX Spectrum 128K. |
