Prekmurje dances

prekmurjePrekmurje lies at utmost North East of Slovenia. These dances have there own specialties but are quite similar to other SLO. dances. There traditional costumes (TC) are white and simple. Man where wearing wide pants, a shirt, and waist coat. Woman wore an apron and simple gloves.

Belokranjski dances

Bela Krajina is a land on the sunny side of mountain Gorjanci, with a rich dancing tradition. Festive days were a chance for gathering dancing and singing. Tamburine groups are unique for this region. Round dances are danced in traditional costumes made from linen and damast.

Kozjanski dances

Town square Kozje lies by the river Bistrica. The hilly country side with rich natural and cultural heritage has lively and funny dances. Steps are firm with bend posture, Traditional costumes are made with already bought materials and clothes.

Gorenjski dances

Gorenjska noša Dances in this region are merry and are especially known by quick turns and chives. Traditional customes are alpine type, man wear "irharce" waist coats, shirts, hats, and high boots. This region is known for several type of Traditional dances. Women are wearing blouses, aprons and knee-highs.

Koroški dances

Dance played a big roll in life of young people in this part of SLO. The head of the wedding was called "camar". He was responsible for the wedding. Wedding dances special for this region are "Krenc dow raja". Traditional costumes are Alpine type and with a few variants. Man wore shoes and knee-higs, woman wore hats.
