Kladivo

Kladivo is one of the many peaks in over 10 km long Kosuta ridge. The border between Slovenia and Austria runs along the ridge. Most of the peaks here are fairly easy to access, but not all. Kladivo is the easy one. It can be a nice and relaxing Sunday trip.

The starting point is Jelendol, a little village not far from Trzic. From there, you will reach a hut named Dom na Kofcah pretty soon. From this hut, just proceed up and follow the trail. A peak named Veliki vrh will be on the left and Kladivo on the right.

This is Kladivo, as seen from the base of the mountain. Obviously not a very difficult thing, however there might be a trouble or two close to the top. But these spots are well protected with steel ropes.

The summit of Kladivo is behind my back. A close view will reveal a couple of people reaching the top. Once on top, views will be great. You can see the other peaks in Kosuta ridge, neighbouring mountains like Storzic, Kocna is also not too far... and there's a lovely view across Austrian lowlands.

Here's Jure and the whole Kosuta range behind him.
