Mangrt

I haven't got a whole lot of pictures of Mangrt. For now, this is the only one shown here. Mangrt is a really rewarding peak. I think it is the 4th highest mountain in the Julian Alps. Only Triglav, Montaz and Skrlatica are higher. For such a high peak, it is surprisingly easy to get to the top, because you can get very far by car. The road will lead you to Mangrtsko sedlo, more than 2000 m high. This is the highest road in Slovenia. From there, it's just a 2-hour climb to the summit. You can choose between several trails that differ in difficulty. Two of the trails are not too difficult, but should not be underestimated anyway. It is a quite high mountain after all. The third trail comes from Italy and is probably one of the toughest climbing trails in Julian Alps. This one is for really experienced hikers, who know how to move in vertical spots.
