Mrzla gora

Mrzla gora is a rather difficult challenge. Beginners should probably stay away. Some spots can be considered quite dangerous and it's best to climb it with someone who has done it before. If you lose grip at those spots, you can fall or slide very deeply. But for skilled people in good shape, it will be a memorable adventure.

Only two marked trails go to the summit. One follows the southwestern ridge and this is the more difficult one. The other one comes up from Matkov kot, a valley parallel to Logarska dolina. This one is much easier, but still not that simple. Both trails will require 4 hours to the top.

The picture shows west face of Mrzla gora. On the right you can see the southwestern ridge, that's where the trickier trail will lead you.

This is just below the summit. The ridge is clearly visible. However, the trail leaves it here and goes more to the right instead.

A nice spot in the southwestern ridge. On the other side of this little pass, there's a good view of the low parts in Austria.
