Mojca 12

Summer and fall 2003

It's summer again, and we are making regular escapes to higher elevations so we can beat the heat. This place is called Skala (the Rock) and it offers a good view over our hometown (pictured on the right). Skala is on top of a steep drop-off, so I better hold on to the steel rope.

Left: I think someone is again making fun of me, equipping me with these silly sunglasses...

Right: Summer is almost gone and the temperatures are pleasant again. I enjoy playing in the sand a lot.

Left: Jure has just returned from a lengthy trip in the USA and brought this truck back for me.

Right: Sitting on the roof of the beige car. The winegrapes in neighbour's vineyard behind my back are almost ripe by now.

Left: Yipeee! I like thissss!

Right: In October, we went to the coast of Croatia again. This time we headed for the Krk island. This is me & Brigita in the marina of Punat.

We hoped it would be still warm enough for swimming, like it was in October 2002, but there was this cold northern wind blowing all the time. So we had to keep our jackets on most of the time. Krk has lots of pretty beaches and many interesting small towns. The right picture shows Silo in the northeast.

Left: this is the port in the town of Krk.

Right: With Jure on the beach just south of town.

My folks got themselves a new Citroen Picasso in October because our family is expanding soon. It's a compact van with lots of space for all the kids' stuff like pram, bicycle etc etc. Here we are in Baska, and this is one of the nicest spots in Krk. The town is on the shore of a large bay with fabulous beach, surrounded by steep hills.
