Trips with my Dyane
I visited a lot of countries with the Dyane
so far. Although so-called normal people
are convinced these cars are crap, I never
got my hands filthy on any of these trips...

I bought the car in October 1992. In July
1993, we set off for the first big voyage
with it: we drove to Finland to attend the
10th 2CV World meeting. After the meeting,
we drove on to Norway and visited Nordkapp
inside the Arctic Circle. We covered 12.000
kilometers during the trip.

We sailed to the Great Britain, drove through England and Scotland and then
took a ferry to the Orkney and Shetland Islands. We covered 9.000 kilometers on the
trip.

This year we went to the Netherlands to attend the 12th 2CV World meeting
and then continued to France. Besides, I also did four separate trips: to Prague (Czech republic), to
Bratislava (Slovakia) and twice to Budapest (Hungary).

Belgium and the time was right to see the
24hrs 2CV race in Francorchamps.

More trips to Belgium and a short visit to Romania, 1999
I drove to Belgium three times - these were all business trips.
This might have earned me a looney reputation in our company, which is full
of serious suit & tie guys, driving serious cars with 150+ hp, who wouldn't
even think of driving anywhere remotely that far in their own cars, not to
mention the crappy Duck... I also drove to Romania in April.

Warszaw and Budapest, 2000
I did a lot of trips with the GS this year - to Dubrovnik, Croatia (1.500 km),
to Warszaw, Poland (2.000 km), to Utrecht, Netherlands (2.600 km) and twice to
Erfurt, Germany (2 x 2.000 km). But very little with the Dyane: just to Budapest in
July and to Warszaw in October.

In late April, I had a business trip to Utrecht
(the Netherlands). Being accompanied with
a real cool babe, a very close friend of
mine, it was surely a good time. We also
went to Belgium & visited our friends
there; plus, Brigita joined us in Brussels,
too. The trip length was a little more than
3.000 km.

In August, we drove to Ireland and spent our vacation time there. A lovely place,
cool people, music & Guinness, narrow winding roads & crazy driving. 7.500 km.

An urgent trip on a short notice, but turned out really nice and successful. 1.100 km.
